Want to Learn More About the 1906 Atlanta Race Massacre?

Did you know that after the Atlanta Race Massacre occurred, there was a disenfranchisement bill, known as the Grandfather Clause, that was passed that resulted in a reduction of Black Georgia voters from 25% to just 4%? This affected the way Black citizens were able to vote well into the 21st century.

As the days grow closer for us to recognize the Atlanta Race Massacre, you may be wondering exactly how these events occurred.

S.T.A.R. is part of The Coalition to Remember the 1906 Atlanta Race Massacre organizing remembrance events.
